Description: We are delighted to be showcasing this exquisite item here at Isabelle and George. A fully functional and very rare iconic piece of vintage stop watch history. This time piece is in very good and works exactly as it should! When tested by our watchmaker, he actually said that it had been years since he had last seen one of these! He reported to us that the outer bezel was still nice and tight.

An icon designed for racing

HEUER is well-known for its investment in sport car racing. Jack Heuer as a race driver was deeply involved in the development of the famous dashboard timer “Monte-Carlo”  did you know he decided to design it, with a high-legible dial, after a bad reading on its Autovia saw him lose one of his biggest races. The first part of the 70’s was really a golden age for HEUER ; dashboard timers of the manufacturer were references for all pilots, and their association with Ferrari was a huge success.

At the same time, HEUER launched economical range of stopwatches whose the ref. 804.901, also known as the roadmaster. The road-master was a very interesting alternative to the expensive classical dashboard timers “Monte-Carlo” and “Autovia”.

These continue to be hard to find and rare, especially in a condition like this one.
